Older Adult Health Ministry

Recognizing the large number of seniors in our churches and community, the Older Adult Health Ministry was developed to provide social support, spiritual care and health promotion to sustain independent living. This ministry provides the following services:

 

Social Support

• Visitation by Parish Nurse and Minister of Spiritual Care
• Peer Telephone Support Network
• Visitation by volunteers

Spiritual Care

• Visitation by Minister of Spiritual Care
• Prayer, sacraments, devotional material
• Homebound Visitation with Eucharist

Health Promotion

• Monthly health promotion events
• Health promotion displays at church
• Health promotion information in newsletters
• Health education and advocacy through Parish Nurse Services
• Annual Health Fair
